Battlefield Primary School
“The playground project”
What is ‘The Playground Project’?
The challenge is to give our children a playground they can thrive in and a space where they can have fun.
Our aim is to provide sustainable play areas within the school grounds that will benefit all children for many years to come.
Why are we doing this?
- It is what the children have asked for
- The current playground is uninspiring and we need to help change this
- The school do not have the funds
- Supporting outdoor play benefits the mental & physical health for children
What could we do?
How can you help?
- You could organise an event or activity that could raise funds.
- Sponsored event (pupils or families)
- Set-up a ‘Go fund me’
- Quiz night
- Work sweep stake
2. Become a regular donor – plan to launch in January 2025
- Set-up a regular gift donation – i.e. £5 or £10 or £20 per month
- This money would only be spent on the playground
- Playground donors will remain anonymous
(Activities/events involving children must be outside of school hours)

-
500km January Challenge
On behalf of the Parent Council, Nick and Darren will run 500km in January.
That’s 12 marathons or 16km per day, every day! Your sponsorship money will help to support this cause.
The pupils of Battlefield Primary deserve a playground that they can thrive in.
Let’s all give what we can to achieve this!
Thanks! Nick and Darren
