World Book Day

Well we did manage to have 2 fun days in literacy week. They were full of parent, staff and pupil involvement and reading was the name of the game. The Lighthouse Keeper’s Cat

Primary 2 have loved hearing the story called The Lighthouse Keeper’s Cat. Our new topic this term is The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch. We talked all about who was in the story, where the story took place, what happened in the story and when did the story take place. The children worked cooperatively to create a storyboard.

Our right to know what’s going on in the world!

Primary 4 are very aware that every child has rights. One of these rights is to know what’s happening in the news. Everyday we have been watching Newsround and discussing major events taking place around the world. The children are finding this a very exciting way to gain new knowledge about their environment. Keep up the good work Newshounds Mrs Woolfries
