We had a fantastic time at our class Halloween Party with costumes, games and prizes galore! !
Our choir were recently invited to join Rhona at Broomfield Court Care Home for their annual Remembrance Day service. Many of the residents served in or lived through the war and it was fantastic to hear their memories and to share in their special moment as we sang ‘Que Sera Sera’ and ‘The Black Hills of Dakota’.
As the letter home pointed out, our class Halloween party is on Friday afternoon. I look forward to seeing the amazing costumes and the fun that we will have!

We entered this competition during literacy week and decided to write about the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand at the beginning of World War 1. It was really difficult because we could only use 100 words but after lots of hard work and re-drafting we did it. 17 members of our class won the competition and will have their work published in a book!
We have been working very hard to proofread our work using passages from The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Anderson. It is great fun and we get to mark our own work but it can be quite challenging! We hope that we can get better at proofreading soon!
