Playground Buddy Training

This term some of our P7 pupils will begin their training to become Playground Buddies for our younger pupils. This initiative builds strong relationships between our P1 and P7 pupils. The younger children feel more secure, cared for and confident while our P7 student’s contribution helps them to feel valued and respected in our school community. This is also a fantastic opportunity for our P7 pupils to develop their levels of responsibility in their final year of Primary.

Today the Primary 7 ‘s have been working with our Active School’s Co-ordinator, Jo Branning. During their first session they were learning about the characteristics of a good playground buddy. They also enjoyed learning games that encouraged them to work together as a team. The training has got off to a great start and our P7 pupils are looking forward to their next session already!
