Another very busy week in P1a

This week was very exciting. We visited Govan Fire Station as part of our people who help us topic. The fire fighters let us sit in the fire engine and put the siren on. We even got to spray the hose and soak Mr Forshaw with it. We have also been learning about recycling, William from the council came to our class to tell us all about all the amazing things our rubbish can be made in to if we recycle.

We have been continuing to revise the sounds s, a, t, i, p and we have also learned a new sound n. Please ask us to write and say these sounds at home. You can also ask us to think of words that start with these sounds. We have also been learning about words that rhyme and trying to hear the words that sound the same.

In number this week we have been working on numbers between 0-20. We have been recognising the numeral and showing this number using cubes. We have been developing our understanding of what before and after means. You can challenge us at home by asking us questions.

Here are some of our photos from this week.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

This is our day at the fire station.

Working together!
