Hello,

We seem to have had a technical problem with our blog and have lost the previous messages. We hope to find them at some point but will post what we have been learning about for this month and next.

May

This month we have been learning about Wormit Primary  school in the past. We looked at photographs dating back to 1895 which showed us what pupils and children wore. We also looked at photos of the old school and of our school being built. As part of our Wormit topic we took a walk along the main road looking at some buildings and features that make Wormit special. We made 3d models and created a short film to tell people about our little village .

Literacy

In literacy we have been working on a writing project. We are writing short stories with a focus on using capital letters and full stops. We have also been looking at common but tricky spelling words.

Maths

In maths we have been learning about volume and measuring in litres and half litres. We have also learned more about fractions and are now working on learning half of numbers up to 20.  We have also increased our knowledge and understanding of money and how to work out change.
