We have recently reviewed how medication is managed in nursery.

If your child receives medication before coming to nursery, please let  a member of the nursery team know and they will provide you with a form to complete.

If your child requires medication in nursery. The medication must be supplied to the nursery by parents/ carers who have a legal responsibility for your child. We are unable to accept medication from other family members or childminders. The medication must be supplied in its original packaging and include any patient information leaflet supplied with the medication. The medication must be clearly labelled with your child’s name, date of birth and dispensing instructions.

Staff will provide the relevant paperwork for you to complete.

Staff cannot give a first dose of any medication in nursery. Please ensure your child has  already given at least one dose of the medication to ensure your child does not have an adverse reaction.
