School Uniform

There is no doubt that the positive ethos of the school, the firm but fair discipline, the students’ attitude to work and to themselves, are all reflected in the wearing of the school colours. The uniform also enhances the feeling of “belonging” to the school. Our uniform also increases our security as it makes any intruder to our buildings or grounds easier to identify.

We are proud of our school colours, and are sure that the wearing of them adds a sense of pride and of responsibility to the wearer.

Uniform orders are placed in May and November and a small selection kept in school for purchase throughout the year.

Or you can order directly from www.border-embroideries.co.uk

Notes

1.     Jeans and denim jackets and/or T-shirts are not suitable during the school day.

2.    Shoes should be ‘sensible’. For reasons of safety they should have flat heels. It is also important for health and safety reasons that shoes worn outdoors must not be worn in the gymnasium. A student who wears “trainers” outdoors must have a pair of gym shoes for Physical Education.

3.    No pupil should be sent to school wearing clothes which are unacceptable in respect of hygiene and/or decay.

4.    No football shirts may be worn during the school day or for P.E.

5.    Jewellery must be kept to a minimum and removed for P.E. or in the case of earrings, covered by micropore tape provided by home.
