Last year everyone at Rimbleton Primary school (including the parents) had a big vote to decide on a 4th school Value. There were lots to choose from but the winning Value with the most votes was ‘Ambitious’.
Mrs Gordon announced the new Value and each class created a piece of work about what Ambitious means to them. We also asked parents this question during parents evening.

Each class was then given the task to draw a logo which represents each of our School Values. The pupils had to vote for their favourite, first in class, and then as a whole school.

Inspiration was taken from each winning logo designs to create a digital version.
Please see our new Values poster below.

Primary 4/5 had Mrs Marshall in class this afternoon. She was teaching us how to create a blog post on our school website. We used this opportunity to share some of the things we’ve been doing today for World Book Week.
To celebrate World Book Day each class will be taking part in some fun activities throughout the week.
Today, a special bell rang at 12pm. We stopped what we were doing in class to read our own books quietly for 15 minutes. It was great to have some time set aside to do this and also good to know that other classes within our school were all doing this at the same time.

We also worked with primary 5 this afternoon for some ‘speed, read, sharing.’ We split up between the two classes and organised the tables so that we could carousel around the room. Each child from our class had a short time to speak with each P5.

During the timed meet we had to share some information about our favourite book and give it a rating. Some of us noted down books that we’d like to read in the future.
We had fun today and are looking forward to doing some other World Book Day activities later this week.
Safe, Kind, Respectful, Ambitious
