Primary 7 Athletics Tournament Success!
The Primary 7 pupils recently took part in an athletics tournament, where four schools came together to compete in a variety of relay races and field events. These included long jump, balance beam, hurdles, and more.
The competition was divided into boys’ and girls’ events. The girls would race first, followed by the boys competing in the same event. There were only six girls representing our school and some had to take over from others who were absent. Despite this challenge, they performed exceptionally well!
The boys’ team finished in second place with 1,458 points, while the girls’ team secured first place with 1,488 points.
- Girls’ track events: Rimbleton finished in first place
- Boys’ track events: Rimbleton finished in third place
- Girls’ field events: Rimbleton finished in first place
- Boys’ field events: Rimbleton finished in first place
- Overall: Rimbleton won the tournament with an impressive total of 2,946 points!
Both teams are extremely proud of their achievements. The boys’ best track events were the obstacle relay and the bean bag challenge, while the girls excelled in the 4×1 hurdles relay, bean bag challenge, over-and-under relay, and the obstacle relay.
In the field events, the girls performed best in standing long jump, standing triple jump, vertical jump, balance beam, and speed bounce. The boys’ strongest field events were standing triple jump, balance beam, speed bounce, chest push, and javelin.
Congratulations to all the athletes for their incredible efforts and success!
