Communication Strategy
Good communication is an important part of building strong relationships between Rimbleton Primary School, our families and the wider school community. We aim to ensure that communication is clear, positive, accessible and timely, helping us to work together to achieve the best possible outcomes for our children.
We regularly review the ways we communicate with families and will continue to develop our communication approaches to make it as easy as possible for parents and carers to stay informed and involved in school life.
SeeSaw / Showbie
Our Infant and Additional Support Classes currently use SeeSaw to share learning and communicate with parents and carers. SeeSaw provides a secure online space where families can see aspects of their child’s learning and communicate with school staff.
We are currently exploring a move to Showbie as our platform for sharing learning and supporting communication between home and school. Further information and guidance will be shared with families as this develops.
School Website
Our school website is being updated to provide families with a clear and accessible place to find important school information.
The website includes key documents and information such as our School Improvement Plan, Standards and Quality Report, school policies, important dates, information for parents and carers, and updates about school life.
Our school Facebook page is used to share updates, reminders and useful information about what is happening across the school. It also gives us an opportunity to celebrate learning, wider achievements and the many successes of our pupils.
Newsletters and Sharing Learning
A whole-school newsletter will be shared each term, providing families with updates, important information and a snapshot of learning and events taking place across the school.
Throughout the year, families will also have opportunities to share in and celebrate their child’s learning.
Groupcall
Groupcall will continue to be used to send important messages and information directly to parents and carers. This ensures that families who do not use social media platforms such as Facebook still receive all essential school communications.
We encourage parents and carers to ensure that the school office has their most up-to-date contact details so that important information reaches you.
