This week has been a shorter one than usual due to the bank holiday and in-service day, but we still managed to pack in lots of exciting learning!

In PE, we focused on athletics, developing our skills in hurdling, sprinting, and relays. We worked hard on improving our technique, speed, and confidence when moving over hurdles and competing as part of a team.

In Science, we explored how plants benefit society in many important ways. We learned about their uses in food, medicine, textiles, and fuel, and discussed how essential plants are in our everyday lives.

In Maths, we have been continuing our learning on 3D shapes, identifying their properties and using mathematical language to describe vertices, edges, and faces.

As part of Bikeability, we completed another session and had the opportunity to get out onto the roads. This helped us build confidence, awareness, and important road safety skills.

We also had lots of fun creating our very own “Zog Flying Licences” for our future Primary 1 buddies. This linked beautifully with our nursery visits, where we spent more time building relationships and getting to know the children we will be supporting next year.

Even though it was a short week, it was definitely a busy and rewarding one!
