This week, we have been learning more about biodiversity as part of our topic. We have been learning about endangered species and the factors causing this.
We have been very interested in the Oyster Catcher who has chosen to lay eggs below the ramp access at our classroom. We have created some beautiful artwork of the Oyster Catcher.
In Writing, we chose who we would like to write to in order to persuade them. This included the Scottish Government, local shops and the Council. We are working hard at using openers and persuasive language.
We have been learning the difference between facts and opinions and identifying both in different texts.
In Numeracy, we have been working on number equations and our mental maths.
We have been developing our skills in PE in athletics and field sports. We also had a group representing our school in Dundee at the Pentathlon. They all did very well and won medals in the relay, short and long distance running and welly throwing!
In French, we have been learning to describe hair and eye colour.
We enjoyed working with P2 in outdoor learning and we explored food chains in our playground.
