This week we have been exploring different types of maps of places around Newport. We have found where we live or places we have been. In pairs, we used Microsoft Word to write a blurb about a place we have been and added a photograph from the internet. We have displayed them next to the map with string going to where they are.

In PE, we practised passing the baton over in relay races. We raced around a track in our houses and other mixed teams, passing the baton on to the next runner.

In Literacy, we learnt about similes and came up with some of our own.

In Numeracy, we finished off our multiplication and division assessments and revised our numeracy skills on Sumdog.

We completed bar charts about our top 3 favourite activities to do to keep active. Swimming was the most popular and netball, chanter practice and golf were the least commonly picked.

We have been practising our spelling words and handwriting.
