Lexi as Matilda
With just days to go until the curtain rises on Matilda Jr., excitement is bubbling over at Kirkcaldy High School. Today’s rehearsals in the Assembly Hall gave a thrilling glimpse into what’s shaping up to be an unforgettable production.
At the heart of it all is Lexi, who continues to ace the role of Matilda. Whether delivering her lines with steely wit or belting out the show’s signature songs, Lexi brings Roald Dahl’s beloved heroine to life with stunning confidence and charm. Her performance is already capturing hearts—and we haven’t even hit opening night!
Adding warmth and kindness to the story are not one, but two lovely Miss Honeys—Ceilidh and Keiara —each bringing their own grace and gentle strength to the role. And on the opposite end of the spectrum, the formidable Miss Trunchbull is in terrifyingly good hands with Murren, and Emily sharing the role. Their performances promise to send shivers down spines—in the best possible way.

The Wormwood Family
Meanwhile, Ryan and Emily shine as Mr and Mrs Wormwood—the wonderfully awful parents you’ll love to hate. Their comic timing and over-the-top antics are a highlight of every rehearsal and sure to delight audiences.
Backing the cast every step of the way is our highly professional tech team. From lighting cues to sound effects and scene transitions, their slick, behind-the-scenes mastery ensures that the magic on stage runs like clockwork. Special thanks to Mr Fleming, Dr Murray, and the amazing team of pupils—Connor, Charlotte, Emily, Lilianna, Jackson, Cobai, Penny, and Abigail—who are proving themselves to be absolute pros.

The Matilda Jr. Chorus
With choreography led by Mrs Poynter and Miss Johnston, music under the baton of Mr Wilkie, and direction from Ms Bruce, the production is bursting with creative energy. The cast and crew have worked tirelessly, and today’s rehearsal showcased just how far they’ve come.
Tickets are selling fast for the 25th–27th June performances at 7.30PM—don’t miss your chance to be part of the audience for what promises to be a revoltingly good show!
