S2 Final Course Choice (Mrs Hamilton)
All S2 pupils will meet with their guidance teacher on Tuesday 11 February in the IT suite, to complete their final course choice for S3. You will be given a specific time to go, which is being emailed to parents/carers. The times will also be displayed on the glass cabinets outside the old guidance base. Please check your time and make sure that you attend the appointment.
Rights of the Fortnight (Rights Respecting Schools Group)
Article 28: Right to Education. Week 2 Fact: In KHS we have focused on adding new courses in to give young people more opportunities to study the things the are interested in including: Environmental Science, Horticulture, Jewellery Design, Sociology and Barista Training.
Article 27: Healthy Food – Free Food (Mrs Young)
We are trying to reduce food waste therefore can you please come along to D2 at the end of each day to make use of the free food that is available. This will include food that has been cooked in home economics as well as fresh food that needs to be used up. This will be available every day on a first come first served basis and will help make sure food does not get binned which is good for us and the environment! There is usually even more excess on a Friday so get down ASAP!

Enterprising Maths Club (Mr Jones & Ms Barclay)
Are you a maths whiz looking for a club where you can really challenge yourself? Join our Enterprising Maths Club and tackle mind-bending problems with other students. There’s even a chance to represent the school in maths competitions, so get involved! Come to B4 every Tuesday lunchtime.

If you need help with any aspect of Chemistry or S1-S2 Science, at any level then Chemistry Study Support is the place to get it. One of your happy, smiling chemistry teachers will be available Tuesday 3:30-4:30pm in either of A4, A5, or A6 for all your questions, queries and conundrums. You could also simply use this as a quiet place to study, or even get that homework task completed that you’ve been putting off since the dawn of time. All welcome!
