We were incredibly lucky to have a day with Donald from Wildside Nature.  Donald was in the area giving a talk at Cambo and chose us to offer full day workshop at no cost to the school.  The morning consisted of a study of bones, feathers, habitats etc.  We then walked along towards Cambo to the woods as you enter the estate and had lunch before splitting into groups with older and younger children working together brilliantly to create beaver dams.  These were then tested to see which team made the strongest most watertight dams.  It caused much excitement counting out the seconds until each dam leaked.  We definitely have some eager beavers who created amazing almost completely watertight dams

We can’t thank Donald enough for coming to Kingsbarns and and offering us this workshop.  The children were completely engaged and full of enthusiam for the classroom-based part and the beaver dams in the woods.
