Area 8 – Primary 5 and Miss Swanson

PE days for P5 are Wednesday and Thursday. 

Primary 5 have had a very busy start to the year. They are enjoying learning all about the Titanic and have been blown away by some of the facts they have learned.

Primary 5 are working with Mrs Bain who visits them once per fortnight to develop writing. Their focus this term is recount writing and so far they have created excellent pieces about visiting the zoo and the beach. They are currently enjoying reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

In Numeracy, they are focusing on place value of numbers to 1 million as well as developing confidence in mental maths through times table bingo and Miss Swanson’s game of last human standing.

Children’s Rights, school values,  being a good friend, food and health are our health and wellbeing focuses.
