About our Nursery

Welcome to our East Wemyss Nursery.

This section includes information of interest to the nursery and wider community served by the nursery.

The aims of the nursery include providing a safe and stimulating child centred environment in which children and their families/carers can feel welcomed, happy and secure. The staff encourage the development of children through Literacy and English, Maths and Numeracy and Health and Wellbeing.

The children have opportunity to go for local community walks eg, beach, caves and local woods to name a few. The children also have daily access to free flow outdoor play in all weathers.

The nursery is registered to care for a maximum of 30 children in our 9-3 session and 24 children in our AM and PM session. We have just recently opened our new building in January 2021 where the AM and PM session are.

The children can access snack both in the morning and afternoon and get lunch in the dinner hall between 12.00-12.30 for the 9-3 children. Free Fife Council lunches are provided, however children can bring a packed lunch if they prefer. Both AM and PM children are provided with a snack from the kitchen which they have in the nursery, as well as snack from the nursery during their session. If your child has any dietary requirements please talk to a member of staff.

Nursery sessions are as follows:

AM 4 hour 40 Session: 8.00am-12.40pm

PM 4 hour 40 Session: 1.40pm-6.00pm

All day sessions 9.00am-3.00pm
