Rights Respecting Schools

The Rights Respecting School Association (RRSA) is a UNICEF scheme based on the United Nations (UN) Convention of Rights for the Child, which lies at the heart of humanity and at the core of the ethos of schools and communities. It is not only about teaching children about their rights but about reinforcing the universal principles of behaviour and values within their society.

Our schools is undertaking this award scheme, which will align our school ethos and codes of conduct with the collective consensus throughout the world – as virtually every country in the world has agreed upon the convention.

More information is found on the Unicef website.

In Sept 2012 we were awarded our Rights Respecting Schools Level One.

We are very proud and are continuing to ensure that rights and responsibilities are at the core of our school ethos.
