Course Choice 2019-2020

Updated: Wednesday 16th January, 2019.  5pm.

TOOLS ONLINE COURSE CHOICE IS NOW OPEN FOR S4- S6 ‘MOCKS’ FOR SESSION 2019-2020

During January and February, 2019, pupils in S2-S5 will be given the opportunity to make choices about the courses they will take in session 2019-2020.  Following our recent curriculum consultation there are some changes to the options available for next session. We are also using an online course choice system for all current pupils in S2-S5.

Please access the relevant pages for session 2019-2020 for further information about course choice  and the key dates and deadlines for each stage.

Pupils will be issued with course choice information during assemblies prior to course counselling.

Parents, carers and pupils should speak to the appropriate Guidance Teacher should they have any questions about the course counselling process in the school.

Skills Development Scotland has launched a choices toolkit which aims to support pupils to make choices for their future career pathways.  The toolkit allows learners to connect subjects with potential career opportunities and relevant job profiles.  The toolkit can be access via the My World of Work website.

Full details of the new National Qualifications and associated progression routes can be found at the Scottish Qualifications Authority’s site.

Further information about careers can be found on our Careers and Employability page.

Please see the Fife College, Dundee College and SRUC websites for further information about courses starting in August 2019.
