Stop Racism

Primary 7 went to the Falkirk stadium last year. When we were there we heard about a competion to try and stop racism. We got the choice to make a song, poem, poster, t-shirt and make a dance. All of p7 decided to enter this competion. Some made posters and some made poems we will be sending them away next week. The prize is a trip to go to Hampden Park for a day! Rene

Christmas Fair

On Wednesday 5th December at 6pm-8pm we had our Christmas fair in the hall. All classes had a stall and they were selling different things like logs, food and tree decorations. The whole school raised over £700.  Pupils came back to help work at stall. Jamie guessed the reindeer birthday and won the teddy reindeer! Jamie

Falkirk High trip!

On Monday 26th November-Wednesday 28th November P7 went to Falkirk High for our induction days. All the class got Lunch cards so if they had money they could put it on and get their lunch. We saw lots of people we know.  We had different classes to go to which included maths, english, french, history, art and design and swimming!  We all really enjoyed ourselves and don’t feel so nervous about high school.  Mr Livingston sent us a letter and it said we had all behaved very well and that he looks forward to us joining Falkirk High soon.  Jack

Switch off fortnight!

We had a switch off fortnight from 19th November – 2nd December and P7 were going around classes to see if the classes switched off their lights, computers and smart boards and their appliances at the plug. The winners were the nursery, P4/5 and P7. Every class did very well. Beforehand,P7 were learning about energy and how it causes global warming and how we can save energy by wrapping up warm and turning off appliances at the plug. It was very fun and everybody tried very hard and done extremely well.

Mrs Ledgerwood visits Primary 7

On Wednesday 14th November, Primary 7 had a visit from Mrs.Ledgerwood, a real evacuee in the 1940’s.  She told us about her life in World War 2 and it was very interesting. I remember her telling us that a bomb did not explode but if it did it would have killed her. We asked her questions about her evacuation family, her feelings, rationing and more. It was interesting to hear a real life story from an evacuee. She had 2 sisters and 3 brothers. The brothers were evacuated together and so were the girls. Her evacuation family were terrible. They were outside the whole day and only came in to get their tea.  One even thought she was telling lies when she was telling the truth.  We enjoyed her visit and found it very enjoyable.
