Looking to make documents or books? Pages is the built in word processing tool on iPad.
What does it do?
Pages is a word processor that lets you create stunning documents and comes as standard with iPad. Choose from beautiful templates and add all kinds of multimedia content including video, voice recording and drawing to your documents.
.
Why is it useful?
Learners can make easily shareable documents and books on their device which can be exported in many different formats including PDF and EPUB for publishing to the wider school community. Pages is the core app equivalent of Google Docs and Microsoft Word.
.
How does it work?
The YouTube video below from Apple Distinguished Educator Mat Pullen provides a tutorial on how to get started with Pages. Please note the most recent version of Pages takes the buttons from the + menu and puts these options at the top of the screen instead.
.

My class were using Pages to make interactive books for our younger readers. They used tools like Audio record, Instant alpha, text formatting, split screen. At the end they exported to ePub and air dropped!! #AppleEdu #EduChat #APLS #Tweets4Teachers #Apple #iPads #ADE2019 #Pages pic.twitter.com/qAmpOAUXoi

#Pages is a great tool to help students organize their thoughts after reading. Shapes provide a great visual aspect and the record audio feature helps students practice speaking skills. #AppleEDU pic.twitter.com/qvsmKctJA3
