Primary Enhanced Provision
Enhanced Provision bases exist in 15 schools spread across the Falkirk Council area. These bases provide a high level of support for children with varied needs affecting their learning.
Primary Thistle Wing/Annex (Kinnaird PS) and Timezone (Maddiston PS)
These provisions are for primary aged children who have severe and complex needs and who require significant support for their learning and a high level of co-ordination from other agencies.
Primary Additional Support Centre (Easter Carmuirs/Ladeside/Sacred Heart)
These provisions are for primary aged autistic children who require a significant level of support to develop their social and communication skills.
Secondary ASD Provision
Falkirk Council has 3 secondary ASD bases:
- Northfield (Denny High School)
- Larbert (Larbert High School)
- Grangemouth (Grangemouth High School
These bases provide support for secondary aged autistic children who require a significant level of support to develop their social and communication skills.
Carrongrange High School
Carrongrange High School is the only Secondary School for pupils with Moderate, Severe and Complex Additional Support Needs in Falkirk Council. Pupils follow a curriculum that is varied, relevant, challenging and enjoyable that is based on a secondary curriculum, adapted to meet the individual needs of the pupils. Pupils are taught in classes with a high level of support and are supported by skilled and experienced practitioners who are committed to meeting their individual needs. Health and well-being and life-skills play an important part in preparing pupils for life after school.

Inclusion and Wellbeing Service
The Inclusion and Wellbeing Service is an integral part of the Additional Support Needs provision of Falkirk Council. The Service Campus is located within the Laurieston area of Falkirk and provides a flexible and holistic approach to meeting the needs of children and young people experiencing a range of significant/complex Social, Emotional and Behavioural needs that often arise from developmental trauma, Adverse Childhood Experiences and difficult family circumstances. The service is supported by a multi-disciplinary team including Inclusion Support Workers, Early Years Officers, Family Support Workers and Community Learning and Development staff. The service works in partnership with mainstream schools and nurseries to offer individual packages of support for the children and young people and the referring establishment.
Windsor Park School and Sensory Service
Windsor Park comprises of;
- A Primary Department (D/deaf located in Windsor Park School)
- A Secondary Department (D/deaf located in Falkirk High School)
- A Sensory Service – (a visiting service for children and young people with a hearing and/or visual Impairment)
