This summer, Yvonne Manning, our longstanding Principal Librarian retired. She was an amazing leader of the service who steered us through some very challenging circumstances and left us vibrant, strong and ready for the future.

She was an inspirational librarian whose passion for books, libraries and children drove the service. Throughout her distinguished career she inspired a love of reading in thousands of children in the Falkirk area. As she always said when times were difficult, ‘It’s all about the kids’.

She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of working with her but we will strive to keep the positive culture she built and continue to provide an excellent library service to all our schools.
