This is our work today we are creating interview Questions about our upcoming events

28.4.23

Today, we were told that we would have a visitor from the Moon Rooms come in on the 12th of May for a yoga session.  We are also working with the older group and we all shared our ideas. One of the ideas they shared was having a football match to raise  money for the ‘Give a dog a bone’ charity. We also found out that we have raised about £100 in total from our ‘Cash for Kids’ bin in the parking lot of our school. We were also given a certificate for everyone who helped us raise all the money.

17.2.23

17/2/23

Today, we are watching a story based on community to teach us about all the important things about our community. The message in the story was ‘Sharing is Caring’. We also discussed our Term 2 targets and where we wanted to go or who to invite to Kirkhill. We were thinking about going to the Care Home and doing some Easter crafts with the residents. We have decided on three different crafts and in our next meeting, we will try to make them to test them out.

17.2.23

This morning the community partnership pupil group have been discussing what we should make for a bake sale. Lemonade, cookies, shortbread, chocolate brownies, fruity muffins, mini apple pies and blondies. We are doing our bake sale in our school and handing out flyers to nearby stores. If the weathers nice we’ll be doing it outside if the weather’s bad we’ll do it in the gym hall. We are hoping to have parents coming in and buying our products. All the money we have raised will go towards the Give a Dog a Bone charity.

20.1.23

Today, the community partnership had four groups the first one was doing the advert, the second one was doing the research, the third one was doing the newsletter, and the final one was doing the questions about Give a dog a bone charity. We are very exited about the give a dog a bone charity to come in and  tell us about them.

20.1.23

Today, we were discussing about how litter is very bad and can harm our community. We also talked about how you can recycle it and turn your rubbish into new things. After that, we were thinking on how to spread the word about our Cash for Kids bin such as talking on the assembly, going to classes, putting an advert on Twitter, maybe putting a letter in the Friday Bundle etc. Then, we finished off our Thank You cards for MacTaggart and Mickel. That’s all from us for today!!

6/01/23

Today in the Community Partnership Pupil group we started adding our finishing touches to our foodbank charity posters. Then we all scattered around about the school to share them with everyone.

Here are some pictures of our awesome finished posters!

AM also made an advertisement on the ipad to be shared at the school assembly to make sure that everyone was aware of where to find the foodbank box and what can be donated.

Then we took our pupil group photo!

Finally, we planned the questions which we would like to ask the visitors from the Give a Dog a Bone charity when they come to visit us. Some examples of our questions are;

  1. How long have you worked for the charity for?
  2. Why did the charity start?
  3. What kinds of dogs do you support the elderly to rescue?
  4. Do you have any of your own pets?
  5. What do you need help with?
  6. Do you have any support from other companies or schools?
  7. How do you help people to get a dog?
