Our rag bag collection bin is outside of the school next to the car park we are promoting it in a school assembly and creating posters to put around the school to let people know that they can put their old or grown out clothes in the bin to give to the people who are less fortunate .And we are also going to the Sandringham Gate building site to see the show home and let them answer our questions about building on the 9th of November.

30.9.22

We have spoken to local builders and we are trying to go on a trip to a construction site!

Also, we are trying to get a cash for kids bin outside so people can bring in their old clothes and put them in the bin and we will let everyone in the school know by putting up posters, getting it on assembly, going to classes, sending it on seesaw, getting flyers outside, putting a letter in the Friday bundle, maybe an advert on twitter etc.

30/9/2022

Today we started writing letters to  get  in touch with a charity. We took a vote and SSPCA won.

We discussed what we should ask them in the letter and what we can  offer (blankets, pillows, food etc. )

Then, we discussed  what makes a good letter.

After that, we started writing them.

16.9.22 Minutes

Today we discussed some stuff that last year the p5s had did for charity. They had done a fun run to raise money and they had donated so many clothes and food  to different charities.

After this we discussed new stuff we want to like lemonade stand, hot chocolate, make drawings for care homes, car washes, go to hospital and give them blankets, helping animal shelters, fun cycle (we would use the money for cancer patients), donate toys to nurseries, cleaning dishes for staff and so on.

We decided to take a vote for which idea to go with, it was a very hard choice. visiting the care home and Christmas cards got 12 votes. Give homeless people clothes/blankets got 13 votes. Go to hospitals and give them second hand blankets got 23 votes, we wanted to go to a children hospital and give gifts such as books(in good condition) or toys.

We have filled out our action plan with out final ideas.

01/06/22

We practised rehearsing our puppet show on Cinderella to P4B. We know what we can work on to improve our show for next week and we will rehearse again next week. Today was our final Pupil Group for P5. Our visit to the nursery will round up our CPPG.

18.05.22 Evaluation

This week we did a survey to evaluate what we have done over this year.

The first question was, what words would you use to describe our Community Partnerships Pupil Group? Some of the words were sharing, helpful, friendly, amazing, incredible and exciting.

The second question was, what impact do you think our Community Partnerships Pupil Group has made on the local community? Most people said ” we made a bit of a difference in our group.”

The last question was, What impact do you think our Community Partnerships Pupil Group has made on the local community? The suggestions were hide and seek donations, do it more often, see the nursery children more and a muddy puddle walk with the parents on the weekend

This we are also doing a puppet show practice for the nursery.

P4 Community Partnership Group

This month we were colouring food found in food banks and learning the process of food banks. We also talked aout how we could get everyone to know that they could bringing canned food or soup into school when the food bank is ready for us. Community Partnership – 16.02.22

What We Did

This month was the 4th meeting for the P4 Community Partnership Group. This month we did digital art, we learnt how to make 3D art on windows 10 and 2D on Chromebook. We came across many problems like: writing on a 3D model, opening the editing software on Chromebook and learning to screen capture and use snip and sketch tool! Next month we are hoping to finish sways with our digital art that will go on the Friday Bundle. The digital art is a poster to get people to donate food to a food bank. We may have a meeting for making a power point on information about our chosen food bank and in will include lots of useful and interesting facts. It would really help if you donate food to the bank so children and adults can survive, WE NEED YOU!
