18.05.22 Evaluation

This week we did a survey to evaluate what we have done over this year.

The first question was, what words would you use to describe our Community Partnerships Pupil Group? Some of the words were sharing, helpful, friendly, amazing, incredible and exciting.

The second question was, what impact do you think our Community Partnerships Pupil Group has made on the local community? Most people said ” we made a bit of a difference in our group.”

The last question was, What impact do you think our Community Partnerships Pupil Group has made on the local community? The suggestions were hide and seek donations, do it more often, see the nursery children more and a muddy puddle walk with the parents on the weekend

This we are also doing a puppet show practice for the nursery.

Community Partnership – 16.02.22

What We Did

This month was the 4th meeting for the P4 Community Partnership Group. This month we did digital art, we learnt how to make 3D art on windows 10 and 2D on Chromebook. We came across many problems like: writing on a 3D model, opening the editing software on Chromebook and learning to screen capture and use snip and sketch tool! Next month we are hoping to finish sways with our digital art that will go on the Friday Bundle. The digital art is a poster to get people to donate food to a food bank. We may have a meeting for making a power point on information about our chosen food bank and in will include lots of useful and interesting facts. It would really help if you donate food to the bank so children and adults can survive, WE NEED YOU!

Here are some photos:

The Kirkhill Fun Run

We organised a Fun Run for donations to the food bank. Our goal was to run 16 laps around our school.

“I thought it was really fun and it was a great way to exercise” – Orrin

I had lots of fun running the Fun Run with my friends. We got thirty laps together as a team.” – Izzy

I enjoyed the Fun Run because I knew it was for a good cause.” – Cara

On Wednesday we had to collect the donations from all of the classes in our school. We took them to Miss Hay’s classroom where we discovered we had too many donations to fit in her room. After our little problem we had to move all the donations to the stage, we couldn’t believe it when it covered the whole stage!

“The bags were so heavy it took forever” – Elizabeth

” With so many donations it made me feel happy” – Scott

” It was really heavy but it was worth it” – Megan

” The bags were full to the brim and very heavy” – Zak

“My hands were burning from the bag’s weight but  it made me so happy to see how many we collected” – Freya

” They said the Fun Run was good exercise but the bags were even better exercise” – Luke
