Good morning!

Happy Friday! It’s the end of another busy week of home learning. Miss Ali and I have loved your challenges, riddles and questions this week so thank you so much for sending them in and keeping us entertained, engaged and learning in lock down!

We hope you all have a lovely break with your family – even if it’s a different type of holiday to the ones we are used to! We are missing you all very much but remember if you need anything at all, during the holidays or not, we are only a message away. Please stay home and stay safe. Hopefully it won’t be too long until we can have fun together again at school!

Love Miss Ali and Miss MacArthur x

Hello,

I’m so sorry this doesn’t appear to have published last night. I think there may be some bugs living in my laptop!

Friday 27th March Daily Tasks

Good morning! Today brings the end of the first week of online learning. We are both so impressed with how well you have been engaging with the tasks we have set you all. It has been lovely to see so many of you choosing to challenge yourself and attempt the extra hot tasks!

Please keep working hard over the next few weeks. We are both missing you all so much but we know how lucky we are to be your teachers and see your super work through seesaw.

Daily Plan 23.3.20

Good morning, I hope you all had a restful weekend and are staying safe!

Please find attached our daily plan for today.

For maths, you can choose which chilli challenge you feel best suits you. Green indicates mild, one red is spicy and two red symbolises extra hot. If you are finding it too challenging, you can try a different task or if you found it not challenging enough, try to add some extra spice!

All of your tasks can be annotated or completed via Seesaw which you can then send back to us so we can see how you are getting on at home.  If easier, complete your work on paper/in your multi use jotter, take a picture and send it over! We are both missing you all and can’t wait to see what you get upto!

3C2 Assembly Script

Good afternoon,

Next week is our parent assembly and we would love if the children could practise their lines. They don’t need to memorise them as we will be providing copies on the day but we are looking for lots of enthusiasm and expression!

Parents don’t go looking at the answers – you’re getting quizzed on the day too!!

Wedding Bells!

On Wednesday we had a fantastic day celebrating our weddings. We held 6 ceremonies, 2 Muslim, 2 Christian and 2 Hindu. We learned so much about the key traditions of these weddings and enjoyed acting some of them out to our special visitors.

Our Week

It has been a busy week in 3c. On Tuesday we had a talk from some nursing students all about making healthy choices with our food. We were so surprised by the amount of sugar in some drinks! We learned we should also be drinking about 7-8 glasses of water a day which we are all going to make an effort to do!

We have also been learning about Chinese New Year and some Chinese traditions. On Wednesday, our very kind catering team made us some delicious Chinese food to taste. It was lovely!

P3c Wedding Planners

During RME we have been learning about how different religions celebrate weddings. We looked at some of the different traditions from Hinduism, Islam and Christianity. We saw some pictures of Miss Ali’s brother’s wedding and when Miss MacArthur was a bridesmaid last year.

Now it is our turn to plan a wedding! Over the next few weeks we will plan and deliver our own wedding. Today, we decided who was going to get married in our groups and then we started to make our invitations.  The countdown to the wedding is now on… only 5 weeks to go!

Back to the ’80s

We are loving learning about our new topic the ’80s in class. We have really enjoyed looking at different items which we have brought in from home. It really helps to make our learning more enjoyable and realistic. Thank you so much to everyone for helping us with our topic – we have lots more fun in store 🙂

Homework and Christmas Fayre Information

We have been working hard to create some products for our stall at the Parent Council Christmas Fayre on Saturday 30th November.

We are going to have a few fun filled, festive days next week creating more products. If your child wishes to, could P3c1 children bring in a Christmas hat, hair band etc to wear on Monday 25th  November and P3c2 children bring theirs in on Tuesday 26th November.

We are going to sort a timetable for helpers at the fayre so if your child is able to participate, please send us a little note to let us know.

Our homework for next week is attached below.
