Is There Anything Kids Can Do To Help Animals Threatened By Climate Change?

We have been learning about endangered animals and we have found that a lot of them are under threat because of climate change.  Some of us were wondering if there is anything we can do to help.  Here is a link that might give us some good ideas.

Christmas is for Giving – Drama activity

Today we were discussing how to give back at Christmas time. During circle time we discussed the charitable things we have done for others less fortunate.

In groups, we acted out scenarios about the homeless, children in poverty, elderly and abandoned pets.

Lots of lovely ideas generated today. Well done P4b.

Dragon Hunt

Today we read the book The Dragon Machine, we look at the figurative language used.

In pairs, we went on a dragon hunt! We had to find the dragons hiding in the school and describe where they are ( using propositions) and describing what they looked like (using adjectives, alliteration, similes and metaphors ).

We will be using our notes to write short descriptions in grammar tomorrow.

Good dragon finding class!
