Hit The Button

Good games for practising number bonds, multiplication, etc.   Spheres could begin by practising multiplying by 3 and 4, Cubes could begin by practising multiplying by 6 and 7  and Pyramids could begin by practising multiplying by 8 and 9.  Of course, when you feel very confident with these tables, you might want to challenge yourself by trying  some of the other multiplication tables as well!

Everybody will benefit from practising number bonds to 10, 20 and 100.  The more you practise, the more your speed and accuracy will improve!  Try some different games to discover what you already feel confident about and what you still need to work on.

Multiplication Tables Songs

Here is a link to some simple multiplication songs with a reggae feel to make us forget about the cold, stormy weather!   Sometimes music and rhythm help us to remember things more easily, so lots of children find that songs are a good way to practise their multiplication tables. Remember that you might find it helpful to stick to one or two tables until you get really good at them before you move on to try some of the other ones.  (See the suggested tables above.)
