If you do not have a jotter, please complete on paper. Remember, if you have any questions let me know and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

From tomorrow we will be transitioning from class to home learning. Although this is a big change and will take us some getting used to, please remember that I am still your teacher. Therefore, if you are ever unsure of anything or would like to ask me any questions, please don’t hesitate! I will respond as soon as I can and help you out to the best of my ability. If you would like suggestions for books, websites for educational games etc. please let me know. Most importantly, of course I am here to help you with academic subjects that we cover in class but I am also here to support you and nurture you in any way possible.
Let’s have a great week and I will be in touch to assign your first activities tomorrow 🙂
From tomorrow, home learning activities will be assigned via Seesaw and this class blog.
This will consist of a Numeracy and a Literacy task daily. One ‘other’ task e.g. HWB, RME, Social Studies, Expressive Arts, Technology, or Science activity will also be assigned every day.
As well as academic learning I appreciate the importance of daily physical activity. Each day, you might like to take part in Joe Wicks’ live PE lessons. These will be streamed live on his YouTube account every morning from 9-9.30am. However, he will post them on his channel after so you don’t always have to do it at that time.
Please check this blog and Seesaw regularly as we venture on our new home classroom learning experience. We can see how the first week goes and make tweaks as we go along.
I plan to upload the daily program by 9am everyday.
As I may be onsite in our ‘hub’ school, I may not always be able to answer your questions immediately, but I will try my best to get back to you as quickly as possible.
I am already looking forward to welcoming you all back when school resumes. Stay safe and well!
Miss McLean 🙂
Despite the uncertain times that we are currently facing, I will ensure that your children continue to receive a range of engaging learning experiences across all of the areas that we cover in class.
Please remember to check the class blog daily for updates. I will also communicate learning tasks for the children through the Seesaw app and encourage them to submit work where necessary. 📲✏
P7C, please continue to be the amazing, positive and hardworking young people that you are! You have inspired me everyday and I will continue to be a constant source of support for you over the coming weeks. 👩🏻🏫
We are a team and we will get through this together 🙌🏼

The show must go on…
We sincerely hope that we have the opportunity to perform this to our school community.
Today we learned about blackout poetry and how to create poems using a passage from a story. First we were given a passage and scanned for key words which stood out to us. Then we circled other words to make it into a poem. Finally we blacked out the rest of the words using creative images. Take a look at some of our amazing poems below 📝
I’m very impressed, well done P7!
Please find attached the homework for this week beginning 16th March. The literacy section of this weeks homework is due on the week beginning Monday 23rd March to allow you enough time to prepare your solo talk. If you have any questions about any of the tasks please see me before Friday.
Enjoy and I can’t wait to hear your solo talks about careers that inspire you!
