In P7 we have been doing an enterprise project, we chose to do hot chocolate cones. We had to do market research then come up with a price.
Next week we are starting to make the hot chocolate cones, we are selling them for £2.00. You can buy them at the school fair on the 1st of December.

Recently, the Archimedes group have been working on all the types of angle. They include alternative and corresponding angles. This has been a fun topic, and I am getting the hang of it. We have mainly been doing vertically opposite angles, though.

Yesterday I learned how to plan a holiday within a budget.
By working out electricity bills and how much money gas will be and food and providing for 4 people, for 4 days.
To do this we find out how many miles it will be to get there and then times it by 2 and divide it by how many mile it is. Also the electricity bills will say like 15% of money or something, so say it was £100 to get there, you have to divide it by ten and then divide it by 100 then times it by 5 and add it together and then times it by how many days you’re there and you’ll have your electricity bills and gas bills all sorted out.
Archimedes were learning vertically opposite angles. To do this we got textbooks with questions about vertically opposite angles. We had to figure out the angle. It was quite easy but the homework extension was really hard. To figure out a vertically opposite angle you have two 180 degree lines and the opposite ones are the same.
“This is a genius way to do maths!”-Katie
