Primary 4 have been very busy this week. We introduced our new novel study and topic, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
“We were learning how to make chocolate. We also found out where cocoa beans grow.” – Molly
“Ghana, Indonesia and Côte d’Ivoire produce the most cocoa beans in the world.” – Sandi and Elijah
“We used globes and atlases to locate Ghana, Indonesia and Côte d’Ivoire.” – Jamie
“We designed lots of sweeties and lollipops inspired by Willy Wonka’s designs.” – Ailsa
“We created different shapes and sizes of sweets. I liked the bubble gum and chocolate designs. They were just like the sweets in Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory.” – Rosie
“We used card, cellophane wrap and recycled paper to make our sweets.” – Lucas
Wow P4. You have been working hard. All this talk of chocolate and sweets is making me hungry!
Ooh, just look at those sweeties! Looks like you had lots of fun designing and creating them.
Very impressed to see you developing your mapping skills.
Keep up the good work!
Miss McCabe
I love that you’re using the French Côte d’Ivoire for the Ivory Coast P4! Bien fait! Je suis très fière de vous.
It is so lovely to see you having so much fun while you learn. Roald Dahl is an excellent author for you to study and we are sure you are enjoying reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 🙂
