Today we are saying goodbye to Mr Wilson as he returns to university for a few weeks before graduating ahead of having his own class in August. All the Primary 7’s have gained valuable and rich experiences with Mr Wilson and have represented themselves and their schools to the highest of standards.
I am sure they will all have fond memories of the lessons Mr Wilson has worked on with them and we look forward to inviting Mr Wilson back in the summer term to celebrate some of our special events with us.
Before Mr Wilson left we shared our books with Primary 2, reading our stories and celebrating our success.
As it was British Science Week we looked at ‘Growth’ and produced work focusing on farming in the future. Mr Wilson taught us all about chemical reactions and we got to put some ‘Mentos’ in to a bottle of coke to see what reaction took place. We then created lemon volcanoes, they smell a lot better than vinegar volcanoes!!
The sun was shining for Mr Wilson’s last day and we got one last rugby session before lunch when Mr Wilson joined us in the MUGA for a game of football at lunchtime.
Primary 7 will miss Mr Wilson and wish him all the best with his own class in August.
