Hello and welcome to our blog.

We have been very busy this week and have started our rehearsals for our show. We are looking forward to sharing this with you all.

Over the past few weeks, we have  created lots of wonderful landscape drawings based on sunflowers. We have been learning all about these wonderful flowers and parts of a flower. We have also been learning about looking after plants and flowers. Therefore, we have planted our own sunflowers to look after in class and to observe their growth.

Wish us luck that they grow! Children will bring them home before the Spring holidays.

Hello and welcome to our blog.

This week we had the most amazing trip to HAMPDEN.

We learned about the history of Scottish football by taking part in a quiz and visiting the museum. We took part in a football training session, learning various skills and we had a tour of the stadium.

We were a very happy and excited bunch!

Week beginning 23.2.26

Hello everyone and welcome to our blog.

This week we have been working hard to write non-chronological reports. This week we worked hard to learn all about healthy eating and we were able to create a report based on this.

We also wanted to compare humans and animals. We found out about the strongest animal, the fastest animal and the most intelligent animal. We then compared them to the human race.
We used iPads to research these animals and fed back our findings to the rest of the class. We found out amazing facts!

Have a great weekend.

Hello and welcome to our blog.

This week we have taken time to explore the true meaning of Christmas and why Christians celebrate it.  We have learned  why the birth of Jesus is so important for Christians. We have looked at different ways Christmas is celebrated all around the world and found out some interesting traditions that take place in other countries. Ask us about this!

Christmas Party

We all looked wonderful at our party this week  and  the  singing and dancing was absolutely wonderful.

Take a look.

Have a wonderful Christmas and thank you for your continued support this session. It has been an absolute pleasure  teaching P3b and I look forward to seeing all the children in 2026.

Welcome to our blog.

It has been another busy week in P3b

Writing

We have been learning to write recounts and have written wonderful work using past tense and first person.
We also watched some short stories then used third person and past tense to retell them.

“I felt proud of my work and felt that I did a good job.” (Elodie)

“I loved the Unexpected Guest story. I could retell the story really well.” (Sam)

RME

We have been learning about Parables that are in the Bible.

We know the stories of The Lost Sheep, The Good Samaritan and The Prodigal Son. We listened attentively and we were able to understand the meaning of these parables.

Christmas Crafts

The children worked very hard to make their beautiful Elves for our Christmas Fair last Friday . We hope that you like them.

Have a lovely weekend

Writing Instructions

We have been learning to write instructions over the past few weeks and were able to write clear and easy to follow recipes. One of our favourites was “How to Make a Fruit Kebab.” We loved eating the fruit at the end too! We have now moved on to writing a recount .

Hello and welcome to our blog

Another busy week in P3b. We would like to tell you about some of our highlights  –

Writing

We have been learning to write instructions. In order to help us we decided to make fruit kebabs and then write about the process. We had to add some new grammar techniques into our writing – adverbs and imperative verbs.

The best part of the lesson was eating our fabulous fruit.

“It was yummy” (Sam)

“My favourite was the banana.” (Isla)

Open Afternoon

We were very excited to welcome our parents and carers into our classroom this week. We loved sharing our learning with you. It was great to show you everything we have learned about Living and Non-living things and Food Chains.

“We had lots of stations to work at”. (Mustafa)

“We did bar charts and I liked colouring it in.” (Fredrick)

“We made a Superhero animal” (Blair)

PE

We  started our fitness circuits this week and we look forward to recording our results and seeing if our fitness improves.

“There was lots of exercises. My favourite was the sit ups.” (Cameron)
