EWHCF Class of 2024

Roman Trip

The other half of P3a and P3b attended the Glasgow Museum Resource Centre on Wednesday afternoon.

We also had a brilliant time. We were lucky enough to handle the armour the Romans wore and hold a sword whilst performing our own ‘war cry’. Some of us much louder than others!

We were challenged with building a Roman bridge and an aqueduct and Mrs Agnew thought we all did extremely well. The construction skillsĀ  we have developed over the past few years have certainly came in handy!

We also got to try on some Roman clothes and armour including the helmet which we all loved wearing. From looking at the photos I think you will agree that we could pass as real Romans!

Lastly, we looked at some Roman artefacts and compared them to the modern day equivalent. This created some very interesting discussions!
