In P.E we have been learning how to play tennis.  We have been moving around the hall and have selected an activity to challenge ourselves; balancing the ball, bouncing the ball etc.  We select an activity which we find challenging but where we are always in control o the ball.

In ICT we have been logging on to GLOW.  We have a P3B Google Classroom page where Mrs. Grieve and Mr. McMillan can put up work and links to websites for our Roman research.

In French we were learning instructions like listen, sit down etc.  We also learnt some greetings this week.

We have been learning more about theRomans this week.  We did some research and answered questions on what life was like in the Roman army.

In writing today we were writing an application to join the Roman army.  We said why we wanted to join the army, why we thought we would make good soldiers and also wrote down any questions we had about joining the army.

Today is Jeans for Genes day.  We brought in money to donate to charity if we wore jeans today.

We had a whole school assembly.  We had Mrs. Cartwright from Newton Mearns Baptist Church in to speak to us about the harvest.  All of the pupils who are in councils and committees stood up in assembly to introduce themselves and were given their badges.

In Health and Wellbeing we were doing work on bounceback.  We talked about humour.  In R.M.E we listened to a parable about the wise man and the foolish man.  The wise man built his house on the roacks, the foolish man built it on the sand.  The wise man knew it was going to rainand there was going to be a flood.  The foolish man’s house got destroyed and the wise man’s house didn’t.  The meaning of the story is to take your time and listen to God.

In maths the Obtuse have been learning to add in tens and how to answer vertical addition calculations (chimney sums).  The Acute group have been learning to add in numbers that end in 9 (19, 29).  The Reflex have been learning about multiplication and division by doing fact families.

In science we have been learning about the human skeleton and this week we were finishing off our skeleton art and labelling the diagram.
