Our Play Spaces

The playroom at Broom Nursery makes full use of available space.  Have a look at how we turn an empty hall into our learning spaces.

We are registered to care for up to 28 children  with four members of staff

Continuity of care is paramount , it is important for the staff to build upon good relationships with the parents during the settling in period, as we are aware that this is the first experience that many of our parents have at being separated from their children for a long period time.

The room is resourced with age appropriate toys, which are within easy reach of the children to encourage their independent choices of play.

We encourage the children to explore their environment at their own pace. The room is furnished with low-level furniture and divided into different areas: art and crafts area, book corner, imaginative-play area, numeracy and literacy area and construction. Resources are within easy reach of the children, on their level, to encourage their independent choices.

There is a combination of well-planned adult led and child led activities on offer, which enable the children to learn new and exciting skills that are supported with the everyday core experiences Broom Nursery has to offer.
