Some of our children struggle to sit still and again become anxious. They might move around a lot, touch people next to them, chew their clothes etc. Offering a fiddle toy can help with this as it will offer a form of comfort, provide sensory stimulation that the need and distraction. Fiddling with a toy does not mean that they are not listening or attending. It is a support. This would need to be gauged as some children will simply play and not attend. It is about finding out what works best for the child.
