Weekly Prayers

Monday 19th February

Jesus, each time I look at the sacred Host,

sanctify my eyes,

that they may close more and more

to all that is merely earthly.

Jesus, each time I look at the sacred Host,

send a ray of divine light into my soul,

that I may better know you and myself.

Jesus, each time I look at the sacred Host,

send a flame of divine love into my heart

to consume everything in it

that is displeasing to You

and to set it all on fire with Your love.

Now and in eternity

may my only desire be to contemplate

the infinite beauty of Your divine countenance

which delights the angels.

Amen

Tuesday 20th February

Lord,

As we journey into Lent, guide our efforts in prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.

Show us how to live as you did.

May we have the strength to make sacrifices and do good deeds throughout this season. Amen.

Wednesday 21st February

Eternal Father,
I desire to rest in Thy Heart this night.
I make the intention of offering to Thee
every beat of my heart,
joining to them as many acts of love and desire.
I pray that even while I am asleep,
I will bring back to Thee souls that offend Thee.
I ask forgiveness for the whole world,
especially for those who know Thee and yet sin.
I offer to Thee my every breath and heartbeat
as a prayer of reparation.

Amen.

Thursday 22nd February

Father, we ask you to give us the grace to follow the example of St. Peter in his confession of faith in Christ’s divinity. We pray that we can imitate more closely St. Peter’s fidelity to Christ by remaining faithful to His Holy Church, guided by Pope Francis. Please watch over our pope as he shepherds the flock of Christ, Our Lord.

Mary, please watch over the whole Church and teach all of us to love the Church with the same tenderness as The Good Shepherd, Jesus. We ask this through Christ, Our Lord.

Amen.

Friday 23rd February

God, I wanted to thank you for keeping me safe and healthy. As I am going through a tough time right now, I ask you to keep my family safe, healthy and in your care as we continue to journey through hardship. Thank you.

Amen.

Our Father…
