Crafters Market & Café (see poster)
Time: Saturday 5th of November
Where: Voluntary Action East Renfrewshire, 56 Kelburn Steet, Undercover
Volunteers are needed to help out at Barrheads Crafters Market & Café, roles include:
- Face painters
- Café Assistants
- Information providers
- Volunteer retail assistant Selling of VA Items Soap, Arts and craft things
This event is open to all ages, and the hours will count toward saltire award for all those that participate. If any young person is interested please see Miss Howard
Sewing Class (see poster for more information)
Time: Wednesday from 5.30pm-7.30pm
The Sewing Circle is a FREE sewing session and get-together which welcomes people like you to come together, make new friends and learn a new skill. The sessions are open to people of all ages and abilities and offer you the chance to have fun and learn a huge range of sewing techniques while contributing to your local community.
The group will meet every second Wednesday from 5.30pm-7.30pm in Barrhead. In return for taking part all we ask of you is to help make quality hand-made items to raise funds for community arts projects in East Renfrewshire. Those who have never sewn before will be shown all the necessary skills while those with more experience will be encouraged to help anyone who needs a bit of guidance.

Home from Hospital (see poster)
Time: 1-4 hours per week for up to 6 weeks (S4/5/6 Pupils Only)
Make an older person’s return home from hospital welcoming. Encourage the individual to access services and attend activities in the community for up to 6 weeks.
Collecting and giving information on community activities, groups and services.
