The close of Advent and Preparing for the Nativity of the Lord
During these latter days of Advent, with the whole Church we wait ‘in watchful hope’.
Below are posted two articles that will help us prepare for Christmas.
As teachers, staff, pupils and parents let us find a quiet space, free from the hustle and bustle and demands of every day family and work life, to be silent and still, and to ponder God’s amazing love for us, revealed in the coming of Jesus.
Let us take time to reflect on how Mary ‘placed her life at the service of God’s plan’.
May we ask God to give us the grace to do the same.
May the Holy Family of Nazareth, Jesus, Mary and Joseph, who filled with faith and love, and forgetful of themselves, lived entirely for God and for each other in simple, joyful and generous self-giving and a spirit of service, be with all young people, parents and staff through Christmas and 2017.
With Mary, in the silence and stillness, I make ready to receive the gift of God in Jesus.
