Talented Athlete – Guest Speaker
Pupils who are part of our Talented Athlete Programme recently enjoyed the first guest speaker event of the year. We welcomed Jack Ferguson of Heart of Midlothian Football Club to speak to our pupils about his role as a Sports Scientist. During this talk, Jack spoke about different ways that pupils could best fit sports science into their daily lifestyle while giving real-life examples from his own personal experiences whilst working at both Hearts FC and Kilmarnock FC. Jack also introduced pupils to different ways that they can get involved in sport at both elite and youth level within the community. Overall this was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to understand the important role that Sports Science has on overall performance in current day sport.
