School Library Wins £1500 of Books!
Our school library received an early Christmas present this year in the form of £1500 worth of free books!
Our eagle-eyed librarian Mrs Baird spotted the Scottish Book Trust and The Herald newspaper competition on Twitter and chose to enter. She said “we were halfway though our own events for Book Week Scotland, when I saw this competition and I thought why not? When the Scottish Book Trust phoned a few days later to say that we had won I was overjoyed! The books arrived just 2 days after that and the pupils and I had a great time going through 6 huge boxes and all the fantastic reads.”
So, if your New Year’s resolution is to read more pop into the library, they certainly have plenty on offer.
