School Closure – Red Weather Warning Friday 24th January 2025
Following the announcement of the red weather warning, covering East Renfrewshire, the Council has taken the decision to close all schools and early learning and childcare settings on Friday 24th January.
This is a difficult decision and we understand the impact that this will have on parents and carers, however, in light of the significant warnings, the safety of children, young people and staff is paramount.
Arrangements are being made to ensure some learning provision is available remotely for pupils, either through online means or through the provision of work at the end of today.
For those pupils in receipt of free school meals, an additional payment will be made in advance of the half-term break in February.
