S4 Information Evening – Thursday 23 October
An Information Evening for the parents of Fourth Year students will take place on the evening of Thursday 23 October, commencing at 7.15 p.m. The purpose being to inform parents of the arrangements that we have in place to support our young people undertaking National Qualifications between now and the SQA examination diet in May and June. We will also outline the programme for choosing subjects for S5.
The evening will begin with a brief presentation in the Forum, followed by study skills workshops led by Pastoral Support Staff and Sixth Year students in the Mathematics department for parents and in the English department for our S4 pupils.
Finally there will be an opportunity to meet with our teaching staff over tea and coffee.
The evaluations completed by parents who have attended similar meetings in previous years were overwhelmingly positive and I have no doubt that you will find the evening of great benefit, given that this year will be your child’s first experience of sitting national examinations.
