S1 Information Evening – Thursday 4 October
An Information Evening for the parents of First Year students will take place on the evening of Thursday 4 October, commencing at 7.00 p.m. The purpose of this evening is to inform parents how our new S1 pupils have settled in to Saint Ninian’s High School and to provide an insight into the year ahead. We will also focus on the standards and expectations that we have of our pupils and how we can work in partnership with you to achieve the very best for your son or daughter.
The evening will begin with an introduction from Mr Docherty (Head Teacher), followed by a presentation from Mr Fuchs (Depute Head Teacher) highlighting the excellent start our young people have made and focussing on calendar for the remainder of S1.
Pastoral Support staff will then present to class groups of parents and pupils in their pastoral cohort emphasising the personalised support your child will receive in our school and how we can support you to ensure:
- the fullest development of our young people
- excellence and equity in attainment across the school
- an opportunity to discuss specific support needs, where appropriate
Attendance at this event has always been excellent and Parental Evaluations indicate that parents have found this to be very informative and helpful in supporting their children through S1.
