Renfrew Speakers Club’s Youth Speech Competition
Three members of the St Ninian’s Public Speaking and Debate Society attended the final round of the Renfrew Speakers Club’s ‘Youth Speech Competition’ at Johnstone Town Hall on Wednesday 20th November, having successfully won the local round at St Luke’s High School at the start of the month. They faced fierce competition from five other West of Scotland schools who covered a diverse range of topics, from stereotyping to non-custodial alternatives to prison. Our own team comprising of Mary Treesa Biju, Natasha Cameron and Ansa Dean, delivered an excellent presentation on the importance of respecting the elderly and were delighted to be awarded first place. Very well done girls!
