Pentecost Novena To The Holy Spirit.
The Catholic Church has a great tradition of novena prayers which are usually associated with nine days of prayer. The first novena was the prayer of the Apostles in the nine days between Jesus ascending to Heaven and the Coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. This year, Paisley Diocese have arranged a Novena for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Those who register will be sent an e-mail on each of the nine days with prayer and meditation. Ascension Thursday, this year, is 10 May and Pentecost Sunday is 20 May.
